17th to 20th Pregnancy Week by Week Report

In the fifth month of pregnancy, the pregnant lady should be very careful while moving, sitting or laying down to bed. The pregnancy week by week report from 17^th week of pregnancy to the 20^th week of the pregnancy is discussed below:

The first week of the fifth month is the 17^th week of the pregnancy period in which the baby will measure from 4.4 inches to 4.8 inches. In this week, the formation of fat begins in order to help the baby in the metabolism as well as in the heat production.

In the 18^th week, the development of the taste buds start and also it can stretch, make facial expressions and can yawn in this week of pregnancy. The retinas of the baby becomes sensitive to light hence if light is spotted on the abdomen then the baby will move to protect its eyes.

The measurement of the baby in the 19^th week will be around 5.6 inches and the weight will be 7 ounces. The development of skin will be in progress which has the red appearance due to the visibility of blood vessels.

 In the last week of a 5 month pregnant woman the baby will grow to a maximum of 6.4 inches in length and will weigh around 9 ounces.
